Services and Events

Times and details of all services at St Andrew's are in the Signpost Magazine tab on the left of this screen, on the last page.

Our usual pattern of services is Holy Communion on the second and fourth Sundays of the month with lay-led Matins from the Book of Common Prayer on the first and third Sundays, with all services starting at  10.00am.  Services on the months with fifth Sundays are almost always at one of the other Ridgeway churches - details again can be found in the Signpost magazine tab on the left of this screen.

Special events and details of the weekly book group can also be found in the Signpost Magazine tab on the left of this screen, as can details for all the other churches in the Ridgeway Parishes.

The Letcombe Register each month carries an article on activities at St Andrews and the latest edition of the Register may be found under the Local Information tab on the left in the Parish Council Newsletter tab.

The monthly newsletter, Signpost, is delivered to each address in the parish towards the end of each month. Signpost also covers all the parishes of the Ridgeway Benefice - Letcombe Bassett, Childrey, West Challow, Sparsholt, Childrey and Kingston Lisle as well as Letcombe Regis.

St Andrew's has an active Parochial Church Council and has representatives on the Ridgeway Benefice Council and Deanery Synod.  There are also Bible Study and Prayer groups that meet regularly.  Volunteers from the church and village help with fund-raising and the maintenance of the church buildings and grounds, including cleaning, flower arranging and bell ringing.  On most Sunday mornings the bells can be heard ringing out a message of welcome to the church and the village.

From collections and events St Andrew's supports a number of charities each year.  In recent years we have regularly donated to Crisis, the Children's Society, Harvest for the Hungry and Mission Aviation Fellowship as well as others.
